I wore this lace dress for Christmas last year (this is how I styled it). It was a gift from my bff. I dressed it down a bit this time around, but still kept it festive. I think I could probably get away with wearing it two years in a row which saves me $$$$! The boots were a gift from my cousin (this year). She updated my old, torn up, steven wedge boots...the ones I didn't want to part ways with, but I'm extremely happy and grateful for my new pair! Hope you like this outfit! Celebrating 25 Years

Today is my birthday. I'm turning a quarter of a century old. I know....it sounds kinda ancient. But it's really not. 25 is a milestone birthday. It's a transition period for me. Long gone are those carefree childhood days and time to put on my big girl pants and make important life decisions. There is so much living, loving, learning, growing, exploring, and dreaming I have yet to do. This beautiful journey has just begun and I'm looking forward to the next 100+ years of life (my mission is to be the longest living person in the world...we'll see how that goes...I better get my sugar addiction under control). 

About a year ago I started this blog and it's been such an amazing experience for me. I went back to my roots and started doing things that I was passionate about like fashion, music, baking, etc. I've been reunited with my artsy fartsy creative side....and it feels so good! I've also met some truly wonderful people. Thank you all for your support. I'm grateful for all of you! I'll leave you with a little quote...."Today is the oldest you've been and the youngest you'll ever be." So Live. Be Happy. Be You. And. Be Kind.

Fashion Police

I read somewhere that knee high / over the knee boots were so NOT in style anymore. These boots are a little dated/outdated...maybe 4 or 5 or even 6 years old. What do you think? Yay or nay on the boots? Don't be afraid to go all fashion police on me:)! I just may appear in Yahoo's "what were they thinking" list lol. Anyways, have a great week all and thanks for visiting:))!

Fastest Most Amazing Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnabon Who? No, but really. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be making/eating homemade cinnamon rolls. Not the Pillsbury kind that you pop in the oven. No. The ones you make from scratch. Without having to wait for a kabajillion hours to eat. Folks, I've said it before and I'll say it again. When it comes to food, I'm an instant gratification type person. I want my cinnamon rolls and I want them NOW. I don't want to play with yeast, wait for dough to rise, etc. So naturally, this recipe caught my attention. It said FASTEST CINNAMON ROLLS. EVER. And boy were they fast. And by george were they tasty. And man did they cause quite the droolfest among my family members. So sweet. So aromatic. So cinnamony. If this is what love feels like, then I can't wait to fall in love. Cinnamon Roll Love...That Is. Amaze-O-Rama. Wish I could share these with you all:)! P.S. They make the perfect breakfast for Christmas Morning:). 

Layering It Up

I have a thing for cognac colored boots. They seem to pair well with most of the clothes in my wardrobe. While both of my cognac colored boots are flat, these have a 3 or 4 inch heel for those "I want to look taller" days. They were a gift from my cousin and I've had them for two years now, but they're still in pretty good shape:)! Hope you like this look! Feel free to share your thoughts!
