Happy New Year

Happy New Year! I went through so many dresses before I found this sequin one. The whole look came together at the very last minute and all I can say is Lulus saved the day! Makeup by my beautiful and talented friend Talin. :)

Twenty Seventeen

I turned 30 this year. And I think more than any other birthday....this one was extremely hard to accept. It's just a number, they say. Oh, but for me, it was so much more than a number. So many feelings and emotions were tied to that number. It felt like the end of my youth. Like I had to close a chapter and move on, but I wasn't quite ready to do so. In my heart, I felt like I hadn't done enough, experienced enough, seen enough, lived enough. I so deeply wanted change. But, on the other hand....I was so afraid of change.

Sometimes you get stuck in this mode. You focus so much on what you haven't done....that you forget about all of the cool things that you HAVE done. All of the little (or big) steps along the way. All of the ways in which you have grown. All of the things that you have experienced. All of the times that you didn't let fear get the best of you. All of ways that you rolled with change....and probably like a champ.

I have to keep reminding myself that it's OK. It will all be OK. I just need to trust in the process and go with the flow. To accept my own pace and timing with things. And, I have to remember that I have not felt it all. Some of the best days of my life haven't even happened yet. The world still has so much left for me. And, so much left for you too! So, my wish for you in 2018, is to go into it with an open heart and be ready for those nights that will stay burned beneath your eyelids and those memories that will dance underneath your skin! Happiest New Year to all of you and from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for following along! 💖

Goodbye 2016

Hi All! I wanted to do a roundup of some looks from this year, so I narrowed it down to these 20 from 2016. Also, I don't say much throughout the year (let's call it writer's block), but I just wanted to close with this:

I know that 2016 has been a really tough year for some...yet a really great year for others. And maybe somewhere in between for the rest of us. I read this quote by Morgan Nichols that I wanted to share with you all. "When you start to feel like things should have been better this year, remember the mountains and valleys that got you here. They are not accidents and those moments weren't in vain. You are not the same, you have grown and you are growing. You are breathing, you are living, you are wrapped in endless boundless grace and things will get better. There is more to you than yesterday." So let's make peace with 2016 and open our hearts to new beginnings, new opportunities, and new possibilities in 2017. "May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art -- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself." (Had to share that quote by Neil Gaiman too:). Wishing you all peace, love, light, health, happiness, and lots of laughter! Thank you so much for following along and supporting this little blog of mine. 💖Happy (almost) New Year! 🌟

Year In Review: 20 Outfits From 2015

It's hard to pack so many outfits into one post, so I asked my mom and sisters to pick out their favorites....and we narrowed it down to the 20 above (still a lot...sorry). I must admit, my style was all over the place in 2015.....from bohemian and romantic to polished and sophisticated (and everything in between;). It was fun experimenting with so many different styles and I hope to continue that in 2016.

It's hard to believe, but we're coasting into our 5th year! 5 years of having this creative little space. Pretty cool, huh? I started this blog because I was having a quarter-life crisis lol. I never anticipated this to come out of my crisis. As the saying goes, "we lose ourselves in the things we love. We find ourselves there, too." I hope we can all continue to find and express our true authentic selves and do more of what makes our souls happy. I'll try not get Oprah Super Soul Sunday on you now lol, but 2016 is the year to "live our lives with our whole hearts". To own our stories and embrace the glorious messes that we are. To try and fail, but never fail to try. To live creatively and be driven by our curiosity and not our fears. (Quotes by Brene Brown & Elizabeth Gilbert)

Anyways, I have loved connecting and bonding with you all over our shared passions. You have all inspired me in countless ways and for that I am grateful. I truly appreciate all of the love and support you have given me and I thank you all so much for following along in 2015! Now get out and live out your dreams in 2016! Wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year that's full of love, light, and lots of new adventures! See ya real soon! <3
