Happy National Pumpkin Day

Pumpkin is the new bacon. It's on every blog. Naturally, it would find its way to my blog too:)! I love Libby's Pumpkin Pie Recipe. It's my favorite (and sister's favorite too:). Although it's easier to use a frozen crust, a lot of pride goes into a perfectly flakey and buttery homemade crust. Here is the recipe I used for the pie crust. Now, all that's missing on this yummy in my tummy pumpkin pie is a nice big dollop of whipped cream:)! Happy National Pumpkin Day all! Have a great weekend! Oh, and go eat something pumpkiney? Pumpkiny? Pumpkin-y. That'll do.

Time For A Giveaway

Happy Saturday! Hope your weekend is full of fun fall activities:). I still need to figure out my Halloween costume, buy a pumpkin, carve it, bake something for National Pumpkin Day (which is October 26:), go apple picking (which I've never done), and watch my favorite Halloween movie, Hocus Pocus (it's a yearly tradition).

Happy National Pasta Day

I saw this recipe on How Sweet Eats and after wiping the drool off of my laptop and dreaming about it that night...I knew the pasta gods were trying to send me some sort of message. Why me pasta gods? I don't cook. I've never cooked anything in my life. I bake and that's as far as it goes. But...I thought to myself...why not try something new. It seemed easy enough. I mean, how hard could it be to cook some pasta?! Well, 13,000 dishes and a burnt finger later...I ended up with this pasta. 5 days later...we are still eating the leftovers. It was perfectly creamy and stringy melty cheesy:)! Oh and the penne had that wonderful al dente bite! Molto delizioso:))! P.S. Please excuse the quality of these pics...(A) It was raining, so the lighting was horrible. (B) Cooking, eating, and taking pics at the same time is extremely challenging! Happy National Pasta Day All! Go treat yourselves to a yummy bowl of pasta:))!

I Love Lucy

Happy Tuesday, Friends! I know I'm a day late, but yesterday was a very important day in history. On October 15, 1951 "I Love Lucy" went on the air, and it hasn't been off since. It is a classic and one of my all-time favorite TV sitcoms. I've watched each episode over a million times and I've practically memorized every line. I really Love Lucy. Which one is my favorite episode? I'm glad you asked. Wait, but there are so many!! You can never go wrong with Martha. Martha? Slowly I turn...step by step...inch by inch. Please tell me you remember this episode?! Do you have a favorite? Have a great day all:)!

Snickers Brownie Bites

"Chocolate is the answer...who cares what the question is. Chocolate doesn't ask silly questions. Chocolate understands." My thoughts exactly. I spotted this recipe for snickers brownie bites on Pinterest and I just had to bake it up. They are brownie bites with miniature snickers tucked inside and topped with peanuts and caramel. It was everything I dreamed of and more. Scrumdiddlyumptious. Thank you, chocolate. You are the key to my happiness.

Polka Dot Skirt

I love this blouse! I can't stop wearing it. So far I've done three different looks (the one above, this one, and this one). We'll see how many more outfits I can squeeze out! I definitely got my $20 worth, so I'm very :) about that! As for the $12 Forever 21 skirt....she's a good one too;). Happy Thursday and thanks for reading!

Fall Colors

I saw this skirt on Blair Eadie from Atlantic-Pacific (one of my favorite bloggers) and fell head over heels in love. I happened to spot a knock-off while doing some shopping at H&M and had to snatch it up. Here is my own spin/fall twist on this skirt. Hope you like it and thanks for reading:)!

Blush Pink Jeans

I bought these jeans in the Spring and wore them just a few times. After having one of those frantic "what am I going to wear" moments this morning, I decided to bring these jeans back for the end of summer. Probably can't wear pastel jeans in the fall, so I might as well make use of them now. 3 days left. I rest my case:).
